Pierson Wireless continues its support of tribal telecommunications infrastructure, solutions, and best practices with its upcoming appearance at the 24th Annual TribalNet Conference & Trade Show, to be held September 18-21 in San Diego, California. Our team will be located in Booth 203, just inside the main entrance to the Town & Country Resort exhibit hall.
TribalNet was formed in 1999 to connect the resources of tribal entities and employees to advance the technologies utilized by tribal governments, gaming, and healthcare industries. As an industry-leading telecommunications design, engineering, and implementation firm, we look forward to playing a role in advancing the widespread adoption of wireless solutions through our presence at TribalNet.
Pierson Wireless is currently deploying a large-scale outdoor private network solution for the Central Council of the Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska (CCTHITA) in the southeastern Alaska town of Wrangell.
The project features a technology alliance between Pierson Wireless and Nokia, which will be appearing with our team at TribalNet. CCTHITA will own and operate the 5G private network named the Tidal Network. The network leverages Band 41 frequencies granted by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) through the Rural Tribal Priority Window. The Tidal Network will also utilize frequencies in the Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS).
Pierson Wireless designed and delivered two Network on Wheels portable towers featuring 120-foot masts and a Nokia Radio Access Network (RAN) and evolved packet core as part of the solution.

This will be Pierson Wireless’ first appearance at TribalNet, and our third visit to a tribal-focused telecommunications conference in a year, having twice displayed and presented at National Tribal Telecommunications Association (NTTA) Tribal Broadband Summits in Arizona.
